Hello!

Happy Belated Youth Day!!

I did absolutely nothing productive today! ^^ however, i had studied a tiny bit for tomorrow's geog test on sat but..... what the heck!! >.<

Anyway, this weeks youth service really changed my perspective of relationships between 2 ppl of the opposite gender. It helped me to differentiate and sort out feelings. Its rather hard to explain right now so I won't. ^.^ Anyway, Daddy God only wants the BEST for me so who am I to fight that? ^.^ I now know that all those proclamations were worth naught. Love and crushes are so different and now I know that when one says they 'love' you, it might not really be the case. Nonetheless, it was pretty upseting. Lol... [A/N NO its not who ya'll think it is!]

Now i will present the differences between true love and crushes as taken from the bible.

TRUE LOVE

• Is patient [he'll wait for u and u'll wait for him. Does not pressurise the other into a relationship.]
• Is kind and is an affection given regardless of merit. [ u may not deserve it but its still given]
• Is respectful and giving
• Is forgiving
• Lives by the truth of God
• Believes the best in truth and maturely accepts one's imperfections
• Constant and enduring
• Works through conflicts
• A decision as much as its a feeling

Crushes

• Is an instant desire you have towards someone
• Is affection given to perceived value [ eg. position, beauty etc]
• Is jealous and competitive [ eg. 'I haf a bf/gf cos all my frens haf one too!']
• Is demanding and rude
• Petty and keeps accounts of wrong doings
• Lives solely by feelings
• Chooses to be blind and to disregard the flaws tt one sees in reality
• Rollercoaster of emotions
• Shuns conflicts and confrontations
• Nothing more than romance and feelings.

So now I know that what he felt was merely a crush and not the claimed love. That's kind of sad in a strange way. But no matter for I am made and created for the God-Kind of love that only Abba can satisfy and he only wants the very BESTEST for me!! ^.^
